Glasgow City Council is investing £115 million to deliver the Avenues programme – a Glasgow City Region City Deal project (funded by both the UK and Scottish Governments) that will dramatically change Glasgow city centre for the better.

The Avenues

To reduce levels of harmful air pollution and to protect public health, Glasgow introduced Scotland’s first ever Low Emission Zone (LEZ) at the end of 2018. Only vehicles which meet cleaner emissions standards are permitted to drive into low emission zones.
